Obama said healthcare was a fundamental right. He started pushing McCain off-track from there. I'm pretty sure Obama won from then on.

The whole format of the debate was weird though, I heard McCain was good at town hall it didn't show up

Oh yeah, mainly because the town hall broke down and the moderator ending up asking questions and allowing follow-ups, which was great for Obama. McCain had no chance to have his POW stories.
I think we all heard the POW stories more than enough with all respects to Sen. McCain

That's right! He's said everything, but he hasn't had enough time to spout off crazy ideas, but he gave crazy numbers.

Instead of saying his name he pointed to Obama and said that voted against it or something like that
With that back and forth, McCain effectivly said he would not go after bin Laden if he saw him.
Obama won that debate all that McCain did was insult Obama and McCain avoided saying where he would get the money for alot of the policies that he would impose as president

Yeah it was a pretty bad blowout in the eyes of the American people according to early reactions.
I think that McCain did surprisingly well. The townhall format suits his style of speaking well. I think McCain won it. Obama did better on the last, more formal debate, though. My faith in Obama as the best presidential candidate is wavering a bit.

I heard was Obama is ahead in all the swing states before the debate I think he probably gained more after the debate.
Tonight's debate was anticipated to be bitterly and closely contested. However, from the beginning it was clear who the clear loser of this debate was: Tom Brokaw. Both Obama and McCain treated the 1-minute time limit he tried desperately to enforce as if it simply didn't exist, and after realizing they were on such long leashes they began to demand extra time for rebuttal. McCain was particularly nasty in responding to the question "Who would you appoint as secretary of the treasury?" with a resounding "Not you!" directed at Brokaw, though he later made up for this assault by apologizing later in the debate for grossly exceeding Brokaw's time limit. The heated bickering argument between the two candidates gave way to teamwork at the close of the debate, when both candidates put their differences aside to stand defiantly between Brokaw and his teleprompter. Though many pundits have suggested that McCain was tonight's big loser, I personally declare the loser of this year's second presidential debate to be Tom Brokaw. Peace!
I don't know what you're talking about Jaden. All McCain did was insult, use fake numbers, and looked erratic. The townhall suits him well but he was crushed by some well placed "fundamental differences" Obama set up, on healthcare and judgment on foreign policy.
Tom? He was pretty damn funny and actually picked surprisingly good questions. It was sad though when they had to move away from his teleprompter.

What really clinched Obama's victory in my mind was the part where Obama said that healthcare was a right, whereas McCain said it was a responsibility.

A crony is someone who scratches your back in exchange for your scratching of theirs.
It was weird how both said the other was going to raise taxes. However Obama said he will not alter 95% of American' taxes. McCain said Obama was still going to raise taxes
Obama is going to bring taxes to Clinton levels.
McCain will borrow to help CEOs, oh and Obama will give 95% of people a further cut. The Clinton levels are for the rich I meant.

McCain walked around half the time like he thought about his movements. He creepily sidled up to questioners.

CNN's snap poll: Obama won 54%-30%. Also, Obama's favorables went up a net of 8%, McCain's were UNCHANGED.
As I was saying, polls confirm our ideas. End of story.
In the end, this debate changed nothing. It was marketed for undecided voters, and it did nothing to change their minds. The canidates are locked in a cycle of mudslinging that is only going to get worse and worse until election day.
